Asian Pleasures was, if I’m to be honest, a bit of a let down. I blame the tour in large part, where there were promises of videos in “higher definition” and previews of mostly recent action from famous porn star models. Inside of their considerable library however you’ll find DVDs released in the 90s and early 2000s making up the bulk of the action. To their credit, there certainly is quite a bulk, too.

The library had some 1000+ scenes to offer from hundreds of DVD series like Burusera, Cum Together, Tokyo Ebokou, and Super Idols. Many of the DVDs are from Tokyo-based studios, so you’ll run across censorship of genitals (Japanese law). It also means that you get lots of hot Japanese models int he action.

The porn covers a range of action that includes anal sex, cum shots and bukkake porn, group sex, gang bangs, schoolgirl fantasies, lesbian sex, BDSM and bondage, and much more. In its variety of porn and models the site does itself a big favor. To some degree, these positive features help to balance things out with the misleading promises that offers are fed on their first visit. For example, the live cams and dating services are not part of your subscription. You have to sign up and use a third party service to get them. The promised “HD” porn is also totally inaccurate.

The types of downloads you do have access to are your standard DVD-quality Windows Media file downloads. These have a good to great quality playback but are a long way off from being HD. You also have an iPod-ready download version and an embedded Flash video that can be streamed instantly online, right in the browser window. It looks about as sharp as the Windows Media file downloads. The streaming option is a great feature given the sites size — you can hop around quickly from scene to scene until you find what you want to watch. It’s much better than just looking at thumbnails.

Asian Pleasures includes picture galleries. There were over three hundred sets at the time of my visit. Most had around 100 pictures that were professionally taken and high resolution. You can browse through them online and save the images you like best but they don’t provide any zip file download options.

Navigation between all of this is pretty easy. The site uses a number of categories to sort its porn out, and you can look up scenes based on what you are in the mood for — anal, amateur girls, bukkake, etc.

The site isn’t growing lately. None of the scenes were dated so I couldn’t tell the exact dates, but the overall site size hasn’t moved in several months. You do have access to thousands of other movies on the Kara’s Adult Playground network. They are sites covering the other niches in hardcore and are full of DVDs as well.

Asian Pleasures is a porn site best for surfers who want a lot of real Asian porn, produced in Asia. Not all the titles are recent releases and the price tag is expensive, but they do offer a lot of action.
